Page 1Here Windows Explorer has been opened to the folder shown in the last tutorial. Page 5However, you can still recover the files. Scroll the left pane to the bottom. Page 8You can permanently delete everything in the Recycle bin by clicking on button 1. Button 2 will restore (undelete) everything in the Recycle bin. Page 9You can also restore or remove one item at a time. Right-clicking on the first file shows a popup menu. Click Restore to undelete the file. Page 10We've used the scrollbar (1) to scroll back to the top of the folder tree in the left pane. Then, we've clicked on the Short memos folder to select it (2). We can see that the deleted file has been restored (3 ). Page 11You can copy or move a file to another folder. To do this: Click on the file in the right pane with the right mouse button and hold the mouse button down. Move the mouse cursor to the new folder (left pane) and then release the right mouse button. A popup appears as shown (in the left pane). Page 12Here the menu item Copy has been chosen, and the file has been copied to the new location (the My Notes folder). If we had chosen Move, the file would have been copied and the original would have been deleted. Page 13You can also move folders in the same way: right-click and drag . You can even open a second Explorer window and drag a file or folder from one window to the other. In the next tutorial, we'll see how to move, copy, or delete multiple files at once. |
