You can draw three different types of lines in Paint:

  • Straight line
  • Curved line
  • Pencil line

Click on the Pencil Tool to draw a pencil line.

Choose the Line Tool to draw a straight line.

Or choose the Curved Line Tool  to draw a curved line.

You can also choose the thickness of the line you would like to draw.

Let's draw a straight line first. Choose the Straight Line tool.

Choose a line thickness.

Click/Choose a colour for the line.

  Click on the image for page view.

Position the mouse where you want to start your line, then click and drag the mouse. Release the mouse when the line is the desired length.

Lets try to draw a curved line now. Click on the Curved Line tool.

Choose the thickness of the line.

Choose a colour for the line.

  Click on the image for page view.

Position the mouse over the line and then drag the mouse until the line is curved in the way you desire.  Then release the mouse to complete the curved line

You can draw a perfectly horizontal, vertical or diagonal line by holding down the Shift key while you draw the line.  This works for the Straight Line tool only.

You can use brushes for drawing in Paint. Click on the Brush tool

You can choose the size of the brush or sprayer you would like to use.

Click a colour you would like to use.

Position the mouse where you want to paint and drag it over the area you would like to brush with colour.

You can also use the Airbrush tool in the same way.

Choose an Airbrush option.

  Click on the image for page view.

Then choose the color.

  Click on the image for page view.

Drag the mouse over the area you want to airbrush. The slower you move the mouse, the more paint (color) will be applied.
