| Word 2000 : Basics Open a Document from Email |
Page 1When you receive an MS Word document in an email attachment, you can open this document in MS Word. Here the Outlook Express email program has been opened. (Your email program may look different, but the process of opening a Word document will be similar). Page 2Double-click on the message which has an attached document. Page 5Note that the document no longer has its original name. It is now called "breif(1)". This is because the document has been copied to your email folder and renamed. Page 6You'll probably want to save the document to your My Documents folder rather than leaving it in the email folder. Click on File - Save As . Page 9The document now has its original name and is saved in the My Documents folder. |
